Multi-platform product image guide

Create several platform versions in one batch

Start with the files each channel expects. A square marketplace image and a vertical social post may differ in crop, dimensions, color, filename, and destination.

1 · List the deliverables

Write down each platform's actual requirements

Record the ratio, pixel target, look, filename rule, and destination before building the recipes.

Ecommerce delivery

A marketplace may require a square or portrait image, fixed dimensions, a predictable filename, and a neutral treatment.

Website and editorial delivery

Product pages and campaign modules may need a wider ratio and a folder already organized for publishing.

Social delivery

Vertical placements may need 9:16 framing and a more vivid treatment from the same original.

2 · Build the recipes

Give each destination its own recipe

A single “web export” preset is too vague when the channels need different files.

Choose the crop ratio

Set 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 16:9, or 9:16 for the placement where the image will appear.

Choose dimensions and treatment

Set the required edge or dimension, JPEG quality, and color controls for that destination.

Choose the name and folder

Use a clear prefix or the source name, then send the products to the folder expected by the next person or publishing system.

3 · Run the batch

Render every version from the original

SizeFold can run up to three recipes together. Each one starts from the source image, never from another exported version.

Load the source folder

Use the complete prepared batch as the input.

Review each recipe

Check its crop, color, dimensions, name, and destination.

Run once

Create every enabled platform version in the same processing pass.

Verify and archive

Archive the original only when all enabled deliveries succeed.
